I am so thankful to the donors and everyone who helped to give scholarships to kids who are trying to achieve higher education and jobs for our futures whether it’s through college or trade school. I wanted to be able to take my studies beyond high school at a good school like many people who applied for these scholarships I believe. I wanted to use it to try to get a good job I can live off of but also enjoy doing. This could be done by getting a degree at a good college. I was excited to be accepted by TCU and chose to do that exact route by going to college. TCU is very expensive though and even with scholarships and financial aid I already have, there was still quite a lot of money to be paid left. Any and everything helps so I was already trying to apply for scholarships before I went to college. Jesus has been helping me and I’ve seen a lot of good already while in college. I took multiple classes to get straight into my major of Journalism and have done multiple things to get started in a job that I would love to do which is Sports Journalism like joining TCU’s sports show Unscripted. I have also gotten the opportunity to do other things like cover their football games on the sideline, in the press box, and the press conference, for it’s social media. I’ve had many fun opportunities like those and probably so much more coming up that will be good for my future. Seeing the pretty big burden of how much costs were still left to pay to get that great higher education though wasn’t very nice though but then I saw that I had gotten an anchor scholarship and saw that it’s generous donors were going to help me and I was very thankful. It turned things around to see gracious people like you help me and so much others. I and everyone else who has been touched by your graciousness are very thankful for what you guys have done and for taking a chance on giving money for our futures’ progression. You gave money and resources to help us and you don’t even know us. We are very grateful for it and we won’t waste it as we continue our endeavors to finish our educations and ultimately make the world a better place.
