Thank you for awarding me this scholarship to support my Child Development studies at San Diego State University. Your support encourages me to keep working toward my goal of becoming a teacher in my community. The Anchor scholarship will extinguish the financial hardship on my family for this coming academic year. The financial hardship on my family and I will be suspended for the next academic year, due to this scholarship award. I will have more time to spend with my husband and three amazing, active kids. The time will be enjoyed without the burden of sacrificing more time away from my family working more hours. This scholarship award also affords me the time to focus confidently on assignments.
