Dear Anchor Scholarship Foundation Donors,

Thank you very much for your generosity in supporting Navy families. I greatly appreciate the Foundation for choosing me as a recipient and for the donors who make this scholarship possible. This scholarship will help immensely in paying for tuition so I can continue my education to be a music teacher and share my skills with the next generation. I have found music to be very impactful in my life, from teaching me discipline in practicing to reducing my stress during finals, so I thank you for giving me the means to continue my study of music. My ultimate goal as a teacher is for my students to develop a deeper appreciation of the music they hear every day, which will hopefully transfer to a deeper appreciation of other small yet impactful elements of their daily lives.

Once again, thank you for making this scholarship possible for me and other students affiliated with the Navy. You have significantly lessened the burden of paying for college, allowing me to focus more on my studies. I regret to inform you that I will not be at the reception, as I am taking a summer class that starts at 1pm, and I live three hours away from Virginia Beach. If it had been on a day when I did not have class, I absolutely would have come to thank you in person. Please accept this letter as a token of my gratitude.
