“I am a current sophomore Biology Major chemistry minor at Howard University. I concluded my summer internship as a Healthcare Initiatives Intern with US DC Representative Oye Owelowa in December of 2023 when my position was extended. I have bettered my involvement on campus by becoming the floor representative in my dorm and volunteering with a non-profit organization called BeTheMatch which strives to find potential blood stem cell donors. I have also just recently concluded my participation in Howard University’s Alternative Spring Break (ASB). During the week’s endeavor, instead of going home or traveling for the break, I spent the week amassing over 40 community service hours. As the school year ends, I have hastily begun applying to summer programs to properly prepare me for life after my undergraduate studies. I thank the foundation for supporting me through the acclimation of my education.”
