“I would like to take a moment to thank you for everything that you have done for me. Since last year, I have grown so much in self-assurance and understanding of who I am as a person, and a huge part of it is because of the confidence that you have had in me. Through battling with Cystic Fibrosis and the constant fear of hospital visits looming over me, I was able to fight through the pain and self-doubt to succeed as a student this past semester.

There are so many aspects of my education that would be impossible for me without the help of the Foundation. As the price of college gets more and more expensive, so many of my peers have been forced into long shifts just to pay off tuition, and some have even been unable to attend university to pursue their dreams at all. I cannot even put into words how much college has meant to me, a chance to be independent and pursue what I want to learn, surrounded by passionate professors and supportive friends that have never given up on me. Instead of long shifts at a job that does not relate to my field of study, I work as a teaching assistant for my major with all of my closest friends and the best professors I could ever ask for.

I am so incredibly blessed, and none of it would be possible if the people at the Anchor Scholarship Foundation did not believe in me a year ago.
